About the Role
A leading provider of Facilities Management (FM) and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services, is seeking a self-driven Business Development & Sales Representative to spearhead their growth across the North East.
The Opportunity
This is an outstanding role for an ambitious sales professional who thrives on autonomy, is adept at generating business, and excels in building lasting client relationships. You’ll represent a well-respected brand with a strong reputation in the commercial and industrial sectors—charged with both new business acquisition and client retention. This position comes with a competitive base salary, uncapped commission, and a company fuel card for travel.
Responsibilities

Win New Business: Target and secure new Service Level Agreements (SLAs), identify untapped commercial opportunities, and bring new clients into the FM & HVAC portfolio.

Drive Lead Generation: Independently source, qualify, and pursue new leads through market networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.

Build & Maintain Pipelines: Develop robust sales pipelines to deliver consistent revenue and future growth.

Retain Customers: Cultivate strong relationships with existing accounts to maximize renewals and up-sell opportunities.

Account Management: Serve as the main point of contact, ensuring client needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Market Analysis: Monitor trends and competitor activity within the North East to identify areas for expansion.

Autonomous Delivery: Plan and manage your diary and sales activity, operating with independence while reporting key performance metrics to management.
Candidate Profile

Demonstrable success in business development or sales, ideally within FM, HVAC, or similar service industries.

Strong knowledge of the North East’s commercial landscape.

Proven ability to build pipelines and close deals with limited supervision.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.

Highly motivated, target-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset.

Full UK driving licence (required).
