Terms & Conditions About Us
We are pleased to welcome anyone (aged 16 - 99) with drive, passion and ambition. Who will work with the agents here to develop a long-term career which is profitable, and creatively challenging. We work across TV, films, stage, photographic, pop-promo, buzz, marketing, corporate, promotion, viral, casting, magazine, newspaper, point-of-sale and lastly (phew!) student productions.
Office Hours
Monday - Friday 9am - 9pm Bank Holidays Closed You must not use the agency answer phone to leave important information. If your call is regarding a change of personal information then you must call back during office hours, or reach an out-of-hours booker on his/her mobile. This is especially important if you are calling to cancel a booking which has been made with you via the agency.
Fees
There is no fee for joining the books of Rapid Talent or The 1st Collection.
Bookings & Cancellations
When you accept a role or casting from us we expect you to attend. If for some reason you can not attend you MUST inform the agency immediately in order that we may explain to the client and organize a replacement where possible. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel a booking. Any cancellation given with less than 24 hours notice could require you to supply us with a doctors certificate. In the event that you can not supply this relevant information, and at the sole discretion of the agency, we reserve the right to charge you our agency commission to compensate for the loss of booking. In all matters, this agency reserves its complete right to choose who it represents. When accepting a job, you must ring the agency the day before between 4pm and 6pm for your call time and details. It is your responsibility to obtain your call details from us, and your responsibility to ensure you arrive at a booking properly briefed, prepared and on-time. It is also a requirement of membership of the agency that you call in on either the day of your booking, or the day after for late end times, with the duration of your job and the time you were signed off the assignment. This is especially important when doing photographic, commercials, pop videos, films and corporate shoots. And any assignment which pays to PACT/FAA rates. Please acknowledge and return any messages left for you on your phone, or via text. Please note, you are not able to return SMS in reply to any text messages we may send you. You must call. We encourage every artiste to keep in regular contact with the agency, via phone or via our online check-in system.
Broadband
Everyone who registered with the agency gets a profile on our online casting site. We make big use of the internet when marketing you to casting directors, producers, photographers etc. And have invested heavily in technology at the agency. Our sites also provide artistes with the technology to sign in online, check current castings, update pictures and profiles. We reserve the right to cease representing artistes we believe are not making full use of these services to increase their chances of gaining work.
Casting Directory
We do produce a physical casting directory every two years. You may be invited to go in this book. It is not a requirements of continued membership of the agency, and does not affect your profile on our online casting site.
Late Arrival To A Call
Always arrive early for work. If you are going to be late for any reason you must call the office if it's during normal office hours. Or failing that reach one of the out of call bookers.
Measurements
Always try and keep us up to date with your measurements. Please let us know of any changes such as pregnancy, illness etc.
Financial Information
We pay via BACCS direct into your bank account. You will be sent a statement of what you have been paid. Please always check both your statement and our bank statement carefully. Payment runs are always on a Friday. Statements are sent out the following Wednesday. We try to answer any accounts query over the phone. You need to select option 3 when calling in to be directly connected to accounts. Our dedicated accounts desk is open between 10am and 2pm. If your query is a complex one, it needs to be done in writing and emailed to accounts@rapidtalent.co.uk. You should expect payments for:
Please do not leave it too long before you chase an overdue payment. And always keep a clear diary record of the jobs you have done for us.
Commission Rates - Taken From What You Earn
All commission charges are subject to VAT as per Government rulings.
Film, TV, photographic, Commercial Background - 15% Walk-on, editorial photographic - 20% Feature commercial, TV, photographic - 20% Voice Over's - 20% Theatre (by negotiation) - 10%
Press And Publicity
Any publicity resulting from a role gained through the agency must be discussed with the agency first. Artistes are reminded that script and programme confidentiality is vital. You must not disclose information about characters, programmes or commercials (or content of any other assignment you may be placed on though the agency) without written prior permission from the agency and/or the production.
I would like to register as an artiste with Rapid Talent (the trading name of Lee's People Ltd). I agree that the information given by me in this online form is correct and may be directly entered onto the company's computer database. I understand that commission is due to the agency on any professional work obtained directly or indirectly though any introduction via Rapid Talent. I understand that the agency makes payments every Friday and monies received and cleared through the bank by the agency prior to each payment date will be included in the weekly pay out. I understand that payments made to the agency on my behalf come from various different companies and therefore may not be paid in the order in which my assignments are completed, due to the differing payment terms offered by the various clients of Rapid Talent. I understand that the agency does not accept liability for bankrupt or defaulting clients who fail to pay fees. But that in these circumstances every effort is made by the agency to recover monies which may be owed to you. This includes legal proceedings, and the use of debt collection agencies. I am aware that if I do not fulfil, or am late for a booking, that I may in extreme circumstances be responsible for any waiting time or fees incurred for other actors/models, studio hire etc. I understand that if I fail to turn up for a call without prior notice and without a very good reason I will be charged the full commission for that job and will no longer be represented by the agency. I am aware of the commission rates of the agency, and warrant I will behave in a professional manner at all times. Finally, I understand I must work closely with the agency in the ways I am marketed to potential clients. This includes keeping my online profile as up to date as possible and with as many search criteria included as possible.
I agree that by checking I accept the terms and conditions I am agreeing
to be bound by these terms and conditions. And that representation through
this agency is dependant on my full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
